Prepare fragile parcels and keep useful evidence

A packing and documentation routine for delicate products.

Fragile shipping starts before printing a label: confirm the service accepts the item, then pack it to resist movement and impact. Adopt a packing standard you can photograph consistently. Evidence helps explain damage, but a sticker or photograph alone does not guarantee a claim will be approved.

01Can I send liquids, batteries or food?

These categories may have courier, route, packaging and transport-mode restrictions. Read the prohibited and restricted items policy, declare the contents accurately and confirm acceptance before booking. A successful rate estimate does not mean the item is approved. Never hide restricted contents under a different product description.

02How should I pack fragile products?

First confirm the courier accepts the product category. Wrap each piece separately, protect corners and leave cushioning between items and the outer box. For delicate items, consider an inner box with cushioning inside a strong outer box. A fragile sticker alone is not protection or a guarantee of compensation.

03How do I choose the right box size?

Choose the smallest sturdy box that still leaves room for proper cushioning. Wrap the product, fill empty space and gently shake the sealed parcel; the contents should not move freely. A large empty box can raise volumetric charges, while a tight box can transfer impacts directly to the product.

04Which packing photographs should I keep?

Keep clear photos of the product, cushioning, sealed outer box, label, scale reading and each dimension with a measuring tape. Match the evidence to the order or AWB and keep original files. This makes a weight or damage review easier, but does not override the courier’s claim terms or deadlines.

05What evidence helps with a damaged parcel?

Keep the original outer packaging, label and inner cushioning. Photograph all sides, the damaged product and the way it was packed, and note the delivery time. Report promptly through the seller and support using the AWB and invoice. Check the claims policy for the applicable deadline; do not repair or discard evidence before review.

Before your next shipment

  • Confirm acceptance before booking.
  • Cushion every piece and protect corners.
  • Keep evidence and check the claim deadline.

Examples are for planning. Your selected courier, booking quote and applicable policy determine the actual service and charges.
