A pickup-day routine for busy sellers

Keep labels, counts and handover proof together as orders grow.

A busy dispatch table needs a simple physical system. Separate packed, cancelled and handed-over parcels, then count by courier. Do not solve a missed pickup by making duplicate shipments. A visible label and traceable handover make the occasional missing first scan easier to investigate.

01What must be ready for pickup?

Seal each parcel, attach its correct label and keep the handover list ready. Place parcels in a dry, accessible location and tell the pickup contact how many are waiting. Booking a shipment and scheduling its pickup can be separate steps; check the panel’s pickup confirmation rather than assuming the rider is on the way.

03Can one label cover several boxes?

Use one label per parcel unless the selected courier explicitly supports a multi-piece consignment with its own piece labels. Copying one AWB onto separate boxes can cause missing scans and delivery disputes. Record each box’s weight and dimensions and confirm the booking workflow before handing over a multi-box order.

04Why should I keep pickup handover proof?

A signed or digitally acknowledged handover record connects the parcels you gave the rider to their AWBs. Count parcels together and keep the date, courier and pickup reference. A printed label proves booking, not collection. If tracking has no pickup scan, this evidence helps support investigate the handover.

05What if the pickup is missed?

Check whether pickup was actually scheduled and whether the contact number and location are correct. Keep the parcels ready for the next attempt and raise the missed pickup with its reference and AWBs. Do not make a second shipment for the same parcel solely to request another pickup.

06Does “label created” mean the courier has my parcel?

No. It means shipment details were generated; the parcel may still be with the seller. Look for a pickup or first acceptance scan and retain handover proof. If you are the buyer, ask the seller whether collection has happened before interpreting this status as a transit delay.

Before your next shipment

  • Keep cancelled parcels out of the pickup queue.
  • Count handover by AWB.
  • Check the first scan against your record.

Examples are for planning. Your selected courier, booking quote and applicable policy determine the actual service and charges.
